When sensitive products must be positioned, assembled, or joined with precision, the ezzFLOW from Best Handling Technology is the right choice. This intuitive handling system adapts perfectly to the user and task as an ergonomic balancer.
Typical applications include joining and assembling components—for example machines, apparatus, and vehicles, component and subassembly assembly, machine tool loading, support for engines, gearboxes, and couplings, and tool changeover, plus many other precise tasks.
ezzFLOW ergonomic balancer as an automation solution
Besides manual assistance, ezzFLOWpneumatic as the drive unit is also the core of Best Handling Technology automation solutions.
Key technical data of the pneumatic ezzFLOWpneumatic:
ezzFLOWpneumatic
Power: compressed air
Speed: up to 120 m/min
Energy consumption: 15 Nl/stroke
Load range: up to 350 kg
Load detection: repetitive load
ATEX version: available
Tool change: quick coupling
The pneumatic cylinder converts linear motion via a ball screw into rotation used to move a rope. The rope runs over the linear axis and moves the axis carriage.
The carriage carries the product gripper and any required rotation.

ezzFLOWpneumatic is a robust, fast solution for many handling tasks. Pneumatic control makes it very fast and especially suited to repetitive cycles typical of automation.
All ezzFLOW variants are equipped with optimised end effectors for the task—the right attachment is essential for secure, fast, repeatable picking, designed and built for the product.
ezzFLOWpneumatic includes a support structure for all moving parts of the automation solution and registers component positions on source and target carriers.
The structure is always adapted to pick and place positions and travel path. Best Handling Technology supplies and installs the complete balancer-based system—balancer, end effector, and matching ezzLINK support.
ezzFLOWpneumatic in application
A machine produces aluminium coils of infusion bottle caps, manually packed into cartons. Filled cartons are glued and stacked up to 2 m high. The challenge: stacking above head height; cartons weigh 25 kg and are mostly stacked by women—requiring a very smooth lifting aid and flexible control handle so operators neither bend far down nor overreach.
Relevance for food: the example combines hygiene and ergonomics requirements.
Best Handling Technology’s solution: ezzFLOWpneumatic is fixed to an ezzLINKeco articulated jib. The rope is led over two redirects along the jib for easy cup motion across the workspace.
The suction cup has four cups sized and positioned for the cartons.
The control has buttons for up/down and vacuum on/off. The display shows availability: red means “carton lifted”, green means “available”. The release button is disabled while a carton floats.
Controls sit on a grip extension with spring weight compensation, length matched to lift height and carton size so work stays upright. Pneumatic vacuum generation and control valves sit under a smooth cover.
