When objects must be moved a limited distance, the mobile ezzLIFTmaster fits: simple operation, safe pick-up and placement, good manoeuvrability, versatile accessories, custom solutions, four castors for tight spaces, and quick-change coupling.
It performs: up/down, grip/release, pivot, tilt, programmed positions, and custom pick-up and manipulation.
Example task for the lifting aid
A machine tool uses different tools stored in a rack and transported to the machine. Tools are always inserted at the same place. At the end the tool is removed and stored.
Handling goal: Tools are highly sensitive. Jerky lifting, hard placement, or impacts would damage them. Storage locations identify tools; handling should also identify them.
Inserting the tool into the machine
ezzLIFTmaster is pushed manually to the rack. The storage position is entered on the control. A button moves the attachment under the tool counterpart. Another button raises the attachment slowly until it latches and lifts the tool slightly. The tool is removed from the rack and moved to the machine. Two features ensure correct handover: first the chassis is pushed into a machine-side lock and latches; then the machine tool slide moves to the transfer position, selected on the control. A button moves the attachment over the transfer position; another lowers and releases the tool. Finally ezzLIFTmaster is unlocked and parked or used for the next cycle.

Removing and storing the tool
Storage is similar to insertion but parameters differ—for example the attachment must approach above the rack slot when placing. The control detects this when the tool is recognised electronically on the attachment.

Tool recognition via the lifting aid
Recognition can feed tool IDs to the machine control for compatibility checks.
For higher-cycle processes, automation is an option.
