Ergonomics means “optimal mutual adaptation between people and their working conditions.” That adaptation supports employees. Engaging with ergonomics also means productivity, economy, and safety, which ergonomics directly influences.
Germany’s Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has guidance implementing European directive 90/269/EWG on minimum health and safety requirements for manual handling of loads, especially risk to the lumbar spine.
The guidance states acceptable loads. For women of any age, occasional lift/carry (at most once per hour) is 15 kg. For men it varies by age: 15–18 years 35 kg, 19–45 years 55 kg, over 45 years 45 kg. More frequent lifting (at least twice per hour): women 10 kg; men 15–18 years 20 kg, 19–45 years 30 kg, over 45 years 25 kg. To meet this, staff need proper support for heavy loads—ergonomic transport and lifting. Ergonomic workflows protect posture and movement so people stay fit, healthy, and motivated—a win for company economics and employee wellbeing, linking health protection and effectiveness.
A mobile lifting aid supports transport and lifting.

Dose, weigh, mix—the multi-functional ezzLIFTmaster
Best Handling Technology recommends ezzLIFTmaster when items are lifted repeatedly over limited distances or when dosing or weighing is required. Benefits: simple operation, safe pick-up and placement, excellent manoeuvrability, universal battery-powered use, versatile standard accessories, and custom solutions. The quick-change coupling switches applications—for example tool change to film handling.
The lift trolley handles: up/down, grip/release, pivot, tilt, programmed positions, and custom functions.
Dosing
For moving, repacking, or pouring large quantities—for example from buckets and drums into mix vessels—mobile ezzLIFTmaster is ideal. Containers up to 500 kg can be handled.
The source container often must be held above the batch vessel by the lifting aid—impossible to do by hand while dosing. ezzLIFTmaster supports pick-up, movement, and emptying; operators drive between vessels and adjust pour height. Rotation to empty is manual (crank) or electric (button). Many container shapes: drums, cartons, buckets, sacks, etc. Grippers clamp for safe holding and emptying; cartons, drums, and buckets can be clamped and rotated.
Forward or side emptying allows precise pouring. Depending on powdery or liquid flow, the operator can assist with a scoop while the aid holds the container—ergonomic work.
Weighing
An integrated scale weighs directly on the device via a load cell and platform.

The display is usually on the column but can be flexibly placed—for example on a swivel arm. Up to 500 kg depending on version, without an extra weighing step during filling and dosing.
Mixing
For small batches ezzLIFTmaster can run as a continuous mixer—dose and mix without changing equipment. Pick up, lift, mix, and set down; positions approached by button, even while driving; mixing also by button; special control presets pick, place, and mix parameters (duration, direction reversal, …).
A mobile lifting aid thus offers major benefits: safety because the operator oversees the process and is not in the path of the load, plus safeguards against accidental release. Productivity improves as fatigue is reduced. Ergonomically it supports accident-free work and reduces occupational illness.
